Upgrading

Upgrade your Gloo Gateway installation, including glooctl, the Gloo Gateway custom resource definitions (CRDs), and the Gloo Gateway components in your cluster. Before you upgrade, be sure to follow the upgrade preparation guide to update your environment and review important changes made to Gloo Gateway in version 1.17.

• Prepare to upgrade: Prepare your environment, review version changes, and review FAQs before you upgrade Gloo Gateway.

• Quick upgrade: Quickly upgrade Gloo Gateway in testing or sandbox environments.

• Canary upgrade: Use a canary upgrade model to upgrade Gloo Gateway, such as in production environments.
